The brief was simple – Being doctors we have very little time to maintain a fancy home however it MUST be Fancy ,aesthetically appealing and a place we love coming back to and without a doubt – easy to maintain!!! it must be a home each of our personalities , quirks and sensibilities ( or Lack of It).

I worked around the daily routines of each member – tucking in Hettich Ironing board in the wardrobe of Meeta as she needs to iron each outfit she wears in the confines of her dressing room. The Elderly parents had a room they could manoeuvre easily in the wheel chair , grab bar where ever needed , Abhinav had his Ferrari highlight wall . Shoes are neatly stored out of sight yet within easy reach and a place near the kitchen for washed clothes before they go for ironing.

Simple classic materials were used to create the feeling of warmth and comfort. The coffee tables were added as highlights , A trelli as a partition and not to mention the lights to accentuate each corner.

A fifty year old wooden chest of drawer was refurbished to be placed at the entrance …Family pictures , embroidered panels and photography shots by Dr Saxena were sprinkled around to create the personality of the house which is as unique as the family who lives here.
